Thank you for choosing The Weathered Leash for your dog’s grooming, boarding, and daycare needs. To ensure the best care for your pets, please review our policies carefully:

Appointments and Payment

• A credit card is required to hold all grooming, boarding, and daycare reservations. 50% of service scheduled will be expected as a deposit. Your card is securely stored and is not accessible to our team or management outside of billing.

• The Weathered Leash accepts cash, credit/debit cards, gift certificates, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

• Appointments and reservations must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged a late fee. Failure to notify will result in 50% deposit being forfeited.

• If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, it may be incur a fee, and greater than 30 minutes will result in day care rates being applied. Please call or text if you are running late to see if accommodations can be made.

Vaccinations and Health Requirements

• All dogs must be up to date on rabies vaccination. Some dogs may require additional vaccines—please confirm on the vaccination records on Gingr when booking.

• Please provide your dog’s vaccination records via Gingr, or in person at drop-off. Rabies tags on collars are not acceptable proof.

• If records are expired or unavailable, your dog are not be accepted for services, and you may still be charged the full appointment fee.

• Dogs receiving vaccinations must wait 10 days before services if they are past due.

Grooming Policies

• Grooming quotes are estimates. The final price may increase due to factors discovered during grooming.

• We will notify you of extra charges whenever possible, but sometimes additional fees are only apparent once grooming has begun.

• Grooming may be stopped if a dog becomes aggressive or overly stressed. In such cases, you will be charged for the full grooming session completed up to that point.

• Dogs must be picked up within 15 minutes of being notified that grooming is complete. Late pick-ups may incur a fee.

• We cannot groom dogs with fleas. If fleas are discovered, we will contact you to pick up your dog. Charges for completed work will apply, with a minimum fee of $25 plus a flea cleanup charge starting at $30.

• Ticks will be removed safely during grooming, and you will be notified at pick-up.

• Sick dogs will not be accepted for services. 

Boarding and Daycare Policies

• Dogs must be current on vaccinations to stay for boarding or daycare.

• All dogs should be house-trained and non-aggressive. Dogs that display severe aggression may be refused or removed from care.

• Certain personal items, such as toys or bedding, are allowed but The Weathered Leash is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

• Pick-up and drop-off times must be adhered to. Late pick-ups may incur additional fees.

• We reserve the right to refuse or terminate boarding/daycare for any dog for health, behavior, or safety reasons.

• We strive to provide a low-stress and safe environment for all pets.

• Our policies are designed to ensure the safety and comfort of all dogs and staff. See expanded upon policies in Gingr when making reservations.
